About us
The township of Wasleys is
located a few km north of the Roseworthy Campus of the University of
South Australia. Walseys Primary is a small school of 50 students
looking forward to significant growth in the near future. It is a
category 2 school. The school values are teamwork, honesty and
respect. The school is committed to the principals of restorative
justice. In recent years, the school has focussed on the development of student wellness and literacy and numeracy. During the last two years, there has also been an emphasis on teaching students how to learn, and supporting and challenging them to be successful. Staff have been developing teaching strategies and measuring individual growth to improve student achievement. In 2009, the school was involved in the 'Big Ideas in Number' initiative and this will continue in 2010.
